Wild Dunes

Wild Dunes is an oceanfront resort on Isle of Palms, South Carolina on 1,600 acres on the north end of the island. The resort has two famous golf courses on it: the Wild Dunes Links Course, and the Harbor Course, both designed by Tom Fazio. It also has a nationally ranked tennis complex with 17 clay courts, and an award-winning family recreation program. When Tom Fazio set out to create Wild Dunes Links, his was hardly a household name, even in the golf world. Still in his early 30s, he had just left his famous uncle, George Fazio, who lost the 1950 U.S. Open to Ben Hogan in a playoff, to hang out his own shingle. Wild Dunes Links literally helped vault Tom Fazio to the top of his profession. More than three decades later, the course was chosen to host a national championship, the 1985 U.S. Senior Amateur. Golf Digest says Wild Dunes Resort is among the “Best in State” for golf in South Carolina. Dunes Resort also offers one of the top Charleston golf schools with a variety of clinics and lessons. It doesn’t hurt that Wild Dunes Resort is just a short drive to historic Charleston, South Carolina.
