Tour Edge CBX 119 Fairway Woods:
The successful CBX and CBX T3 inspired Tour Edge to create the CBX 119 fairway woods and hybrids. Using the “Spin Killer” parameters from previous CBX models the sole panels were made wider and deeper further reducing spin and aiding a smooth passage over the turf. Independent testing showed the CBX 119 to be longer than any other of the popular 2018 fairway woods by up to 40 yards in total distance. The CBX 119 hybrids has more compact clubhead with a more rounded toe but the overall head volume stayed the same.

ST190 from Mizuno
Both new Mizuno drivers, the ST190 and St 190G, have a newly engineered forged face of SP700 titanium alloy which has 10 percent more strength than the more usual 6-4 titanium. Ribbing on the inside helps performance rebound and produce a solid impact sound. Crowns are a carbon composite of just 12 grams compared with the 19 grams of the ST180. The 7 grams of weight reduction was moved into the sole, an Amplified Wave design with built-in ridges to let the face flex more, another factor for increased ball speed. The ST190 has a fixed 6-gram weight towards the rear of the sole which gives recreational players a better launch trajectory while the ST190G has two sliding 7-gram weights for ball curvature adjustment, one near the heel and other near the toe. Both models have +/- 2° loft adjustable hosels.

Sacks Parente Putters:
High end putter maker Sacks Parente will unveil their Series 39 blades and Series 54 mallets at the PGA Show. Series 39 has two models, the Players Edition and Tour Edition. A lightweight shaft and grip on a head with 120 grams of tungsten split between heel and toe produces a very low balance point and high resistance to twisting creating an Ultra Low Balance Point for performance the company says is better than conventional putters. The Series 54 mallets have a ramped, flat crown with either a Striped Crown or Vernier Acuity crown to ensure proper aiming.

Scotty Cameron Select:
Two mid-mallets were introduced to the Select line by Scotty Cameron — the Select Fastback 2 and Select Squareback 1.5 and both will be in shops Feb.15. Both have multi-material construction with milled 6061 aircraft aluminum face-sole mated into the 303 stainless steel putter head. Pricing is $399.
