GOLF GRAMMY AWARDS
With this being Grammy’s week and all we thought it only fitting to announce the 1st Annual Golf Grammy’s. This years categories are: Best Hair, Best Dressed, Best Looking Wife, Best Performance, Best Driver Head Cover and Best at Social Media. Let us know what other categories you think we can add and even who you think won them this year! Ready go….
Best Hair: Ollie Schniederjans: This award was almost a no brainer. The three-time All American at Georgia Tech takes the crown for best head of hair in tour. And he isn’t afraid to flaunt it, rarely wearing a hat on tour. The 23-year-old is no slump on the course either. Last season on the Web.com tour he was sixth in money won and had a win at the Air Capital Classic. Look for his gorgeous head of hair this season.
Best Dressed: Billy Horschel: This was a tough decision for the voters. Between Justin Thomas, Michelle Wie and John Daly. Decisions on this one were tough, but at the end of the day Billy Horschel takes the crown. The Polo Ralph Lauren golfer isn’t afraid to wear vibrant colors and patterns. Often wearing a bright plain polo with outlandish patterned pants to compliment them. The outfits haven’t brought much luck though because he hasn’t collected a win since 2014. Maybe some pants with four-leaf clovers this year at Augusta will help. And they’ll compliment the green jacket.
Best Looking Wife: Dustin Johnson: This was a no-brainer. Yeah you got a good crop of lookers, but no one can compete with Paulina Gretzky. The blond bombshell isn’t afraid to flaunt it either. She is seen on her Instagram page sometimes wearing very little. Johnson’s wife was seen caddying last year at the Master’s for him during the Par 3 challenge. She made the traditional white caddy outfit look worthy of a spread in Maxim. Summer is right around the corner so make sure to follow her on social media to keep up with her.
Best Performance: Jim Furyk’s 58: Hard to top something that has never happened before in the PGA Tour’s long history. Furyk’s 58 at TPC River Highlands in Cromwell, Connecticut is a feat him and every other golf fan will never forget. The round included 10 birdies, only one eagle and no bogeys. Breaking 90 is a feat many golfers wont reach in their careers so to break 60 is an amazing accomplishment to add to Furyk’s already loaded resume.
Best Driver Head cover: Bubba Watson: Hard to compete with a guy who has himself as his head cover. Watson has a mini-me of himself on his pink Ping driver. The mini-me is sporting a white high crown visor and blue overalls with nothing under them. Maybe paying homage to his hillbilly roots in Bagdad, Florida.
Best at Social Media: Justin Thomas: Another tough category. Not many golfers have a chance at this but the top is PACKED. You have Smylie Kaufman, Jordan Spieth, The Bryan Brothers, Rickie Fowler, and Justin Thomas. But JT takes home the Golf Grammy this year. He is electric on every platform. From Instagram’s during the famous spring break trip, Snapchat’s from flights during the week, tweets cheering on his alma mater Alabama. Snapchat is his most used one posting multiple times a day showing fans his daily life and his personality. Be sure to follow along and be apart of an already eventful 2017 for the PGA Pro. His Snapchat username is jlthomas34, his Instagram and Twitter username is justinthomas34.
